What is Aju Mbaise?
Aju Mbaise is a long-revered powerful ancient ingredient used by African women for centuries! Did you know Aju means “wrap” in Igbo? Aju Mbaise’s literal English meaning is “a wrap from Mbaise”! This potent herbal blend consists of ginger root, uziza seeds, bark from the traditional Mbaise tree, and more interesting herbs.
This herbal blend is often taken as a tea or used externally to wrap the body. All of the roots, bark, and stems are wrapped together with brands or twine in the leaves and boiled in hot water to activate the ingredients.
History of Aju Mbaise
Aju Mbaise originates from Mbaise, Imo State in Nigeria and comes from the Igbo people. It has a light alkaline taste, but a pleasantly sweet aroma. This herb was given to women traditionally to aid in their recovery after childbirth, purify the womb, help with menustration issues and a host of other ailments.

How Aju Mbaise and Turmeric Can Help Your Skin

We recommend using it twice a week! The mask still has the same look and feel, but the benefits have increased exponentially!
After cleansing your face, pat it dry and use the complimentary spatula (comes with each mask) to spread the product over the whole face. Leave the mask on for up to 10 minutes. When the mask dries and you feel a slight tightening feeling, that is when you know to rinse it off!
Our mask was carefully formulated to not strip the skin after use despite the bentonite clay it contains. We want our products to be effective, but gentle on the skin!
