We suggest that you work your way up to using our Activated Charcoal Purifying Mask twice a week instead of using it that often right out of the box. If you’re sensitive, once a week is perfectly fine for you.

We also recommend that you avoid using other exfoliators if you’re going to be applying this product. This will be all the exfoliation you’ll need, trust us!

1. Cleanse the skin with a gentle cleanser. Our new Green Tea + Honey Facial Cleanser is the perfect balancing cleanser to start off a good mask session with! It will help to cleanse and prime your skin, while removing excess dirt and oil.

2. Each mask comes with a stick applicator to help with applying the mask all over the face! After cleansing your skin, make sure to dry off the excess water and then use the stick applicator to apply a moderate layer over your whole face. Take care to avoid the eye and mouth area, as you could cause irritation in those thin and sensitive areas.

3. Leave the mask on for at least 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse it off thoroughly. You can also use our Glow Fibre to wipe off the mask as well! Just wet it first and then squeeze out the excess water before doing so! Afterwards, you can proceed with the rest of your routine! If you’re feeling a little dry afterwards, using our Green Tea + Hyaluronic Acid Facial Toner will help to add hydration back into your skin after using the detoxifying mask.

Key Ingredients

Activated Charcoal –

Can be called activated carbon as well. Made of fine black powder from charcoal exposed to high heat. Activated Charcoal can spread to the length of a football field when activated. Activated charcoal is highly absorbent and able to absorb toxins and impurities. Helps to draw impurities from the skin when applied. Aids in removing the appearance of acne by lifting bacteria from pores and cleansing them. Activated charcoal also gently exfoliates as well. 

Botanical Hyaluronic Acid – A chemical that helps to hydrate and plump up the skin when applied. Can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water. Hyaluronic acid helps draw water to your skin and holds it there to ensure that your skin stays supple and buoyant. Very soothing and can assist in improving the appearance of dry, parched skin. Our hyaluronic acid is botanical meaning it’s extracted from natural sources. 

Organic Green Tea Leaf Extract – A potent antioxidant, green tea is anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and calms irritation. Contains polyphenols that assist in dispelling free radicals that can deteriorate the skin and reduces the appearance of the aging process. Naturally contains caffeine, which can help to reduce signs of puffiness and revive the skin’s appearance. Fights acne, by reducing swelling and redness. Can also balance sebum/oils levels in the skin. 

Glycolic Acid – One of the strongest AHAs in the acid family, glycolic acid is a potent exfoliator. It helps to assist in the skin’s natural exfoliation process, resulting in brighter renewed skin. It separates the bonds holding dead skin cells together so they can be sloughed off. Fights acne by drying up and dissolving dirt and oil, and refines pores. Can reduce signs of aging, fade hyperpigmentation, and smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. Must be used very carefully, if one isn’t used to strong acids.  

Bentonite Clay – Originating from the Aztec tribe, bentonite clay goes back centuries and is used to detoxify the body. A natural, mineral packed clay made of volcanic ash; it helps bind to toxins and impurities much like activated charcoal. The minerals and bentonite clay can help to absorb free radicals and reduce signs of aging. Also helps to renew the skin with gentle exfoliation. It can absorb dirt and oil, two causes of acne breakouts. Wonderful for those with oily and acne prone skin.  

Certified Organic Rooibos Extract – Originates from Africa and is most widely used in tea. Rooibos is packed with antioxidants that can help fight free radicals and it also soothes the skin. Rooibos is anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial. Contains a high number of flavonoids and other polyphenols that power its anti-aging capabilities. It’s also hypoallergenic, so all skin types will be able to benefit.
